All Eyez on Me!

All Eyez on Me! is a cinematic assemblage about representation. As a filmmaker, I have been visiting the Loita Maasai in Kenya for more than 15 years and have become good friends with brothers Lenaai and Matinkoi. Lenaai, who is aware of how the outside world views the Maasai, says that: ‘Thinking about the Maasai sometimes becomes really dangerous’. All Eyez on Me! explores this idea through an assemblage of three short self-reflexive films and addresses representation, authenticity and the dilemma of visibility.
